Ninna V kicks off our 2019 release schedule with 'Fortress of Solitude'. Backed by remixes from BRIAN BURGER and Komprezzorr, this is techno of the sort that is practically begging to be unleashed on powerful soundsystems.
It's the original that gets us underway. A truly banging cut that's notable for its shrewd drum work and utterly relentless vibes. Full of atmosphere but also featuring suspense aplenty, this is dramatic techno of the sort that the Portuguese native has built her reputation on over the years. Solid and rugged, 'Fortress of Solitude' is a built around a tough groove architected to withstand the degradations of time and DJ pressure
Brian Burger then tackles the original head on with a subtle remix that pays homage to the original in quite sumptuous fashion. Fortifying the bass, he expands his remix into a masterclass study of growing tension. The Strasbourg-based producer is known for his penchant for dark, minimalistic, intelligent techno, and getting him to put a new shine on the original must have been something of a no-brainer.Another cut that's meant for the night's peak-time hours, this is flavoursome techno of the sort that's not for the faint of heart.
Culminating matters is Komprezzor's 'Modded' remix. Whereas the previous two tracks rarely deviate from their harsh techno aesthetic, the always prolific Komprezzor kicks things off on a fairly deep tip - before brashly introducing us once more to his brainstorming take on techno. A true innovator, he wraps up this noteworthy release in some style.
